Ending the week with more cherry blossoms and a Sneak Peek!

I think the best part of the Colorful Seasons Photopolymer Stamp Set (which is on the LAST CHANCE LIST) is this sentiment. As a Yoga fanatic, Just Breathe is my mantra!

The sentiment is made using the new  Lovely Labels Pick a Punch that will be available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog coming out on June 3rd.

The background was created using sponge dauber and ink - just enough color to make it interesting.

If we can’t visit the cherry blossoms, I’ll bring them to you...

Here in Maryland, we are still under the “Stay at Home” order. Which is unfortunate because the Cherry Blossoms are blooming in D.C., but we can’t travel to take in their beauty.  Hence, the inspiration for today’s post and card!

These are 3 identical 3x3 cards - perfect for a gift insert, attached to some flowers or a bottle of wine!

Hopefully I will get to see the Cherry Blossoms soon -

May Blog Hop - As the Beatles say....Hello, Goodbye!

Hello, welcome to the Pals Blog Hop! This month our theme is “Goodbye to January-June Mini and 2019-2020 Annual Catalogs and Hello to 2020-2021 Annual Catalog” where the Design Team is showcasing their favorites from the retiring catalogs or products in the new catalog! You’ll find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I chose to use the Colorful Seasons Photopolymer Stamp Set for this month's hop because it is now on the Retired List.  I am sad to see it go as I absolute love it!

Here is a close up shot to show the Wink of Stella that was added to the large leaves.

The card size is 5"x5".  In order to have an envelope, some creativity was needed.  I like the idea of using the clear envelopes that Stampin' Up! offers, but they would not fit this card.  Welcome - vellum cut and scored to create a custom envelope!

To make a solid front for addressing, I added a small piece of card stock.  I always add a sticker on the back of my cards to identify who made it and that it is made with Stampin' Up! images, so I couldn't use the solid back for the view from the front.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for June 10th, with our theme “New 2020-2022 In Colors.” We can’t wait to show you the newest In Colors in the Stampin’ Up! color family. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room.

Goodbye, my dear friend

Sadly, my favorite stamp set, Colorful Seasons is on the retired list. My goal is to get the most out of it this week!

There are so many options because it covers just about every season.

The greens remind me of the bright variations of greens that spring brings with it.

The CASE of the CASE’d Clutch

How is that for a tongue twister? This clutch is filled with 4 cards - 2 sympathy cards and 2 birthday/wedding cards.  I am CASE'ing this creation from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.

The cards were easy to make since I used the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper as the focal point.  The background stamp in the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set lent a vintage look.

Sentiments were courtesy of the same stamp set.

Some more Woven Threads Designer Series Paper to line the envelopes.

The surprise of this whole set is that the cards (Sahara Sand) are cut to notecard size - 3.5" x 5".  I utilized the Whisper White Notecards that was trimmed down, for the card front layer. This way, all 4 cards fit nicely in the clutch.

The clutch is held together with a small velcro tab.  In the tutorial that I CASE'd, the clutch was held together with magnets.  Either way, they both work.
